5th Element gave everything in their performance. From the very first chord struck they definitely rocked the crowd, and the atmosphere the band created was breath-taking. Ann Richardson, the band’s lead vocalist and front woman, certainly got the crowd going and had good ongoing banter with the crowd. Ann is good at what she does, her vocal range is incredible, forceful and powerful – bearing in mind most rock bands have male vocal leads, Ann certainly held her own in that department. 5th Element bring to the table rock covers but recently have been writing original material with two examples, ‘Who Am I’ and ‘(Please) Don’t Love Me Anymore’, available on a demo CD to be purchased at gigs or online via their website. To give you a taste of what they are about, they performed covers from the likes of AC /DC, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Journey, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, just to name a few. These guys have got what it takes and they are one busy band, performing far and wide to bring you the best in rock with a capital ‘R’. The band consists of Ann Richardson on lead vocals, Neil Hughes on lead guitar and backing vocals, Alan McEnteggart on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, with a new rhythm section of Peter Kubiak on bass and Aaron Hay on drums. 5th Element play consistently solid performances and already have a solid fan base in the North West – not surprising as they are excellent musicians and always give 110%. What a rock show it was!
